Dr.Edward Tse is invited to the 2015 China Innovation roundtable by The European Union Chamber of Commerce in China.
China intends to lead in technology and innovation by 2025, according to a milestone government plan. Meanwhile, China’s investment in R&D has already surpassed the EU average and Shanghai recently announced its plan to transform into an innovation-driven city. But will China’s immense R&D budget have the desired impact and help overcome the challenges on its path to this goal? How will shorter term policies put it on the road to its 2025 goal-setting?
The European Chamber will have the pleasure of welcoming esteemed China Management Consultant Dr. Edward Tse (CEO, Gao Feng Advisory Company) and long-term China analyst Mr. Jeongmin Seong, (Senior Fellow, McKinsey Global Institute) to present their latest findings on the current course of innovation in China, what differentiates and what defines it.
In addition, we will be welcoming Mr. Klaas Vegter, (Head of R&D at Philips China) who will be sharing his rich experiences in leading an innovation-driven enterprise in China and act as expert commentator alongside Mr. Vijay Vaitheeswaran (China Business Editor & Shanghai Bureau Chief at The Economist).
As this is set up to be a highly interactive event you are strongly encouraged to review the speakers’ innovation reports (available for download on the event page) in advance and come prepared with comments and questions.
